This project in Oldbury-On-Severn required the wholesale upgrade and extension of a tired 1970s house.

At first floor, the rooms-in-the-roof bedrooms were narrow and uninsulated and the ground floor warren of rooms made a large footprint feel small.

By rationalising the ground floor, moving the staircase position and adding proper first floor, the house became balanced and proportionate. Retention of most of the ground floor walls minimised structural costs.

The house now has four full sized bedrooms, (two with dressing rooms and ensuites), a family bathroom, two studies, a utility, a kitchen diner, a large living room and a huge family room which the clients have recently used to host an extended family christmas party.
